Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream is influenced by his global reach. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was released by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. In the following year, he joined Ozuna on the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He collaborated alongside Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He next year, released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. Then in 2021 he sang a duet on the TINI streaming hit track Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo has a musical background, both his mother and elder brother also play music. According to him, music was a mandatory part of his life. As a child, was playing the ukulele and the piano. In spite of initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his profession.
